you'll find helpful information and links for community outreach for individuals with disabilities.
- Creative Access
- Creative Access is an arts organization the promotes greate access to the arts for all individuals.
- Delaware Division of the Arts (DDOA)
- DDOA is the state arts agency and supports arts organizations and projects throughout the state. This organization is a valuable resource for arts opportunities and programs, artist directories, and technical assistance. VSADE receives general opperating support as well as technical assistance from the Division. A technical assistance grant from the Division funded, in part, the initial start-up of this website.
- Delaware State University (DSU)
- The office of VSA arts of Delaware is located on the campus of DSU. The University provides a great deal of in-kind support to the organization. VSADE office is located in the Arts Center/Gallery portion of the Library.
- Invisible Hands
- National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)
- This is the federal government's arts organization. The NEA provides funding to the state of Delaware through the Delaware Division of the Arts.
- Quest for Arts
- The Delaware Art Museum
- The Delaware Art Museum is a valuable resource for both viewing art and participating in the arts. As they await the completion of renovations, the DAM is currently in a temporary home at the Riverfront Arts Center.
- The Delaware Theater Company (DTC)
- The DTC hosts several theatrical performances each season and appears to be making several of their performances more accessible by providing interpretive services.
The DTC has a long standing relationship with VSADE. On an annual basis (usually in April) the DTC allows VSADE to host a fundraiser (to benefit both DTC and VSADE) at their facility by offering reduced price admission to the final dress rehersal of a particular performance. Please contact VSADE for information about this event.
- The Dover Art League (DAL)
- DAL is a community based arts organization that provides art instruction classes and hosts community exhibits and lectures.
- The Grand Opera House
- The Grand is Wilmington's "hotspot" for numerous and varied artistic performances and opportunities.
- The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
- VSA arts is affiliated with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Kennedy Center is also an excellent resource for cultural access and accessibility.
- VSA arts
- VSA arts is the National office and is located in Washington, DC. VSA arts of Delaware is an independent affiliate of this organization. VSA arts is funded, in part, by the Department of Education. VSADE receives funding and technical support from the national office.

- Division of Services for Aging & Adults with Physical Disabilities
- This is a state organization that provides many supportive services and opportunities.
- National Arts and Disability Center
- This organization is a valuable resource and provides many additional links to other art and disability organizations.
- Special Olympics DE
- Special Olympics is an organization that provides sports activities and experiences for children with cognitive and developmental delays.
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware
- The Boys & Girls Cubs provide many different after school programs, including arts enrichment. In 1999 several clubs were part of the field testing process for the VSA arts education resource, Express Diversity! In 2002 the newly established Georgetown Boys & Girls Club was a recipient of a VSADE Artist-in-Residency project.
- Delaware Cancer Pain Institute
- This organization is currently involved in refocusing their outreach to encompass a focus on all pain.
- United Way of Delaware
- VSA arts of Delaware is an affiliate member of the United Way of Delaware.
- YMCA of Delaware
- There are YMCA's located through out the state. The Dover YMCA was a recipient of an Artist-in-Residency project in 2000.
