Welcome to the VSA arts of Delaware Art Education Resources section, where
you'll find helpful information and links for how the arts can be important and productive learning tools.
- Arts Education Partnership (AEP)
- The AEP is a national coalition of arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organizations that demonstrates and promotes the essential role of the arts in the learning and development of every child and in the improvement of America's schools. The Partnership includes over 100 organizations that are national in scope and impact. It also includes state and local partnerships focused on influencing education policies and practives to promote quality arts education. VSA arts is a part of this partnerhsip.
- Critical Links
- Critical Links is compendium that provides summaries of studies prepared by various researchers (Project Zero, Harvard School of Education, Ellen Winner, etc.) that focus on learning in the arts and student academic and social development. The entire document is available in electronic format at Arts Education Partnership. The document was prepared in partnership with the NEA and the Department of Education.
- Delaware Department of Education
- The Delaware DOE provides information to individuals seeking certification in arts education. The DOE also provides access to the Visual Arts Standards that detail K-12 education standards in the visual and performing arts.

- VSADE plans for this section of our website to eventually provide useful information for integrating the arts into elementary, secondary and special education curriculums. As this is a "work in progress" we ask you to check back with us and look for additions and/or contact us and offer sugestions for what you might find to be a valuable resource.
